What Are Some Ways That You Can Drink Herbal Tea?

Some ways to drink herbal tea are boiling the fresh or dried plant in water, cold infusions, or steeping the plant in hot water. You can also use fruit to flavor it.

Herbal teas can be made from fresh or dried plants, seeds, flowers, leaves, roots bark, stems twigs or fruit that are still on the plant. Some examples of herbal teas include chamomile which comes from an apple-like flower called daisy. Chamomile is a mild and soothing tea that you can drink to relax.

Ginger root, licorice root and fennel seeds all come from roots of plants. You can dry them and then steep in hot water to make a tea. Rosemary, thyme and oregano come from the leaves of plants which you could use as well. Today, herbal teas are available in an easy-to-use tea bag that can be used to prepare your favorite infusion.


The history of herbal tea is fascinating. It has been consumed for thousands of years, and not just by humans! Its use in traditional Chinese medicine dates back centuries ago, but it was only until the last few decades that Western cultures began to take notice too.
